Gilda’s Club Western New York names
Heidi Billittier to the position of coordinator of volunteers.
Buffalo, NY – Gilda’s Club Western New York (WNY), a not-for-profit support community for those touched by cancer, has hired Heidi Billittier for the newly-created position of coordinator of volunteers. In her new position, Billittier will schedule volunteers for reception, events and other duties, facilitate the volunteer orientation process, write the volunteer newsletter and be the liaison for the organization’s 300+ active volunteers.
“Heidi’s personality and skills are well-suited for this position,” says Mary Beth Karr, Gilda’s Club Western New York executive director. “She is a tremendous asset for our wonderful group of volunteers.”
Previously, Billittier worked at the Lutheran Church Home, an adult care facility in the city of Buffalo. She is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo, where she received Bachelor’s degrees in social gerontology and communication.
A former professional dancer, Billittier currently appears nationwide on PBS television’s Body Electric. She is a native of Buffalo, and currently resides in the Parkside area of the city with her family.
