Gilda's Club Western New York announces its 2008 Board of Directors; including two new directors appointed to board.

Buffalo, NY - Gilda's Club Western New York (WNY) has announced its board of directors for 2008, including the appointment of two new directors. The new directors, who will each serve a three-year term, are:

 

  • Peter Vukelic, Vice President of Government and Industry Affairs, Try-It Distributing
  • Thomas H. Waring, Jr., Founder and President, Waring Financial Group

 

The following officers have been re-elected to a one-year term on the board: Mary Jo O'Sullivan, supervisor of career development services, Erie 1 BOCES, will serve as board chair. Will Kelly, CFP®, senior vice president, Harold C. Brown & Co, LLC, will serve as vice chair. Kevin Campbell, president, Glen Campbell Chevrolet-Suzuki, will serve as treasurer and Nancy Blaschak, Executive Director, American Red Cross/Greater Buffalo Chapter, will serve as secretary.


Susan Schoellkopf, executive director, Buffalo Therapeutic Riding Center, Richard Sullivan, Esq., member, Harris Beach PLLC and Jenene Williams, director of compliance, BlueCross Blue Shield, have all been re-elected as directors to serve a three-year term.


Gilda's Club WNY is a non-profit support community for men, women and children who are living with cancer, as well as their families and friends. Membership is offered free of charge to people at any stage of their experience with cancer. Through participation in groups, lectures, workshops and social events, members build social and emotional support and learn to live with cancer.
